Gareth Evans-Jones pochází z ostrova Anglesey v severním Walesu, přednáší filozofii a náboženství na Bangorské univerzitě a je prozaik, básník a dramatik.

V roce 2018 vydal svůj první román Eira Llwyd (Gwasg y Bwthyn), který sleduje příběhy tří Židů během holocaustu. Později vydal knihu fotografií a poetického psaní Cylchu Cymru (Y Lolfa), jako editor vydal svazek mikropovídek Can Curiad (Gwasg y Bwthyn) a poté svůj druhý román Y Cylch (Gwasg y Bwthyn). V roce 2023 spatřila světlo světa první antologie LGBTQ+ literatury ve velštině, Curiadau (Barddas), již sám redigoval, a v témže nakladatelství má v příštím roce vyjít také jeho první sbírka poezie.

Za své tvůrčí počiny získal řadu ocenění, včetně ocenění National Eisteddfod Drama Medal vv leroce 201letech 2019 a 2021, a v roce 2017 stipendium pro nové spisovatele od fondu Literature Wales.

Gareth Evans-Jones is from the island of Anglesey in north Wales and is a lecturer in Philosophy and Religion at Bangor University, as well as a writer of prose, poetry and drama.

In 2018, he published his first novel, Eira Llwyd (Gwasg y Bwthyn), which follows the stories of three Jews during the Holocaust. Since then, he has published a volume of photographs and poetic literature, Cylchu Cymru  (Y Lolfa), edited a volume of micro fiction, Can Curiad  (Gwasg y Bwthyn), and his second novel, Y Cylch (Gwasg y Bwthyn). 2023 saw the publication of the first anthology of LGBTQ+ literature in the Welsh language, Curiadau (Barddas), which he edited, and in 2024, his first volume of poetry will also be published by the same press.

He has won awards for his creative work including the National Eisteddfod Drama Medal in 2019 and 2021, and the 2017 New Writer Scholarship from Literature Wales.
