Česká spisovatelka a scenáristka; vyučuje na katedře scenáristiky FAMU. Řadu let působila jako filmová kritička a kulturní redaktorka v českém tisku, pražské redakci BBC a Radio Suisse Romande. Patnáct let rovněž zastávala pozici ředitelky festivalu nebo programové ředitelky (MFF Karlovy Vary, Febiofest). Je autorkou šesti románů, několika knih z oblasti literatury faktu a scénářů k celovečerním filmům. Od roku 1997 do roku 2012 vedla televizní dokumentární – talk show „Ještě jsem tady“, sérii dialogů se seniory o životě a dějinách. Překládá poezii (Zafer Şenocak, Bernard O’Donoghue) a provozuje také nakladatelství Limonádový Joe, které je částečně věnováno dědictví jejího otce, filmového tvůrce Jiřího Brdečky.
Tereza Brdeckova is the Czech writer and screenwriter, teacher at FAMU, Prague film school in the department of screenwriting.
She was active for many years as film critique and cultural editor in Czech press, BBC Prague and Radio Suisse Romande. Also, se had a 15 year experience as a festival director and programmer (Karlovy vary, Febiofest).
She is author of six novels, several nonfiction books and of fiction screenplays. From 1997 till 2012 she would run tv documentary – talk show „I am still here“, the series of dialogues with seniors about life and history. She translates poetry. (Zafe Senocak, Bernard O Donoghue , and also run publishing house Limonadovy Joe, which is partly dedicated to the legacy of her father, filmmaker Jiri Brdecka.
