Thomas Möhlmann se narodil v Nizozemí v roce 1975 a studoval Moderní nizozemskou literaturu na Univerzitě v Amsterodamu. Doposud publikoval šest básnických knih, které vyšly v nizozemštině. Učí Kreativní psaní na ArtEZ Akademii umění v Arnhemu, připravil a editoval dvanáct básnických antologií a to v Nizozemí, Makedonii, Argentině, Kolumbii a Velké Británii. Je zaměstnancem Dutch Foundation for Literature a editorem mezinárodních webových stránek zaměřujících se na poezii Lyrikline, Berlín, webových stránek Poetry International Web, Rotterdam, a nizozemského básnického časopisu Awater.
Jeho první básnická kniha De vloeibare jongen byla na seznamu Ceny C. Buddingha pro novou poezii psanou v nizozemštině, 2006, a byla oceněna prestižní Cenou Lucy B. a C.W. van der Hoogt , v roce 2007. Poslední básnickou sbírkou je zatím kniha Waar we wonen, vyšla v roce 2013.
Thomas Möhlmann was born in the Netherlands in 1975 and read Modern Dutch Literature at the University of Amsterdam. He published six books of poetry in Dutch, teaches Creative Writing at the ArtEZ Academy of Arts in Arnhem, and compiled twelve poetry anthologies in the Netherlands, Macedonia, Argentina, Colombia and the UK. He is a staff member of the Dutch Foundation for Literature, and editor of international poetry websites Lyrikline (Berlin) and Poetry International Web (Rotterdam) and Dutch poetry magazine Awater.
His first collection of poems, De vloeibare jongen (The Liquid Boy; 2005) was shortlisted for the C. Buddingh’ Prize for new Dutch language poetry in 2006 and was awarded the prestigious Lucy B. & C.W. van der Hoogt Prize in 2007. His most recent collection is Waar we wonen (Where We Live; 2013).
